Receiver Hdmi Sound How Much Better Does An Hdmi Receiver Sound Than One That Only Goes Up To Optical?

How much better does an hdmi receiver sound than one that only goes up to optical? - receiver hdmi sound

I have a PS3, so I'm really in HD. I am currently with an optical receiver, mounts (I use) and play games and movies in Dolby Digital 5.1 and DTS 5.1. How much sound better, are in an HDMI receiver? Thu PCM 5.1? I hear PCM sounds good, is it true? Can you give me some good (not much, I'm a student) I can see the devices?

A receiver is an HDMI-HDMI receiver that has on it (of course). HDMI is just a connection that combines digital video and digital audio over a single connection. It is basically the same as the combination of a DVI port (video) and an optical connection (audio) connection to a single connection.

Thus, compared to audio, not HDMI better than optical sound, because it (again with respect to audio), essentially the same. Switching the optical audio connection to HDMI does not change the sound quality. However, since the ability to use your receiver (if you have the option of HDMI) as a video switcher, too. It is of course if you have more than one HDMI source - like a PS3 and a HD cable box.

I hope that helps!

If you play PS3 games no difference in the sound. But if you watch a movie on Blu-ray, you hear a big difference whether you hear the uncompressed PCM audio. I used a DVD-Audio format, audio, and even that seems incredible.

Yamaha makes a very good HDMI receiver. I do not know what your price range, but I'm sure if they are cheaper.
